Welcome!

Did you know, if you are under 18 and a member of Gramp you are also part of the Grampian Junior Orienteers?

This is your part of the website so if you know any good websites that you think other GJOs would enjoy then send an email with a link. Or you could send photos, jokes, anything else you want to share. Over to you...!

(And if you're wondering where all these amazing logos come from, it's Rachel's Dad.)

GRAMP JUNIORS KIT
To make sure Gramp Juniors are the coolest looking bunch on the street (in the assembly field), you can now buy a rather trendy hoodie with the Gramp Junior Orienteers logo on (the bouncy castle one you see above left.)

Just like this one (in trendy black!). Just £8. Sizes available .... 5-6, 7-8, 9-11, 12-13, adults S, M, L, XL

Want one? (of course you do!) – Get in touch with Kate.

WEB STUFF
Know of any good videos, games or sites on the web? Drop us an email and we'll share it with the other GJOs.

Circle the Cat

For older juniors (and the odd senior that's sneaked in for a look!) Samarost - watch carefully for clues, keep moving your mouse over the pictures until you see a hand cursor and then click on things in the right order to help the wee mannie solve the problems to save his planet from a collision with a spacecraft.

Back to the main GRAMP website

(JD)2C rankings after Sluie  Click here.

Two more events have been resheduled to bring the number of events counting towards the Jon Duncan Junior Deeside Cup and the GRAMP Champs to the full quota of 10 again. Both in August which is usually the quiet month for O events so make sure you take advantage of the opportunity and come along to Creag Choinnich (MAROC) on Sunday 22nd and Glen Dye on Sunday 29th.

ScotJos duty for Sasha, Calum, Katrina and Marnoch

Well done to our ScotJos members who travelled down to Wales to help represent SOA at the Junior Inter-Regional Competition. Like JIA this was a relay race and an individual race all counting towards the final scores. SOA just missed out on retaining the trophy and came 2nd with some great performances from Sasha in the individual and Calum with his relay team.
Full report on the SOA website and photos from Rob Lines here.

Calling all Gramp Juniors!

Do you want to make your Gramp top the envy of everyone? Then learn to sew now! You can accessorize your top with a variety of colourful badges. No amount of money can buy these badges – they have to be earned by completing courses!

It is all part of the Junior Incentive (big word – meaning bribe) Scheme.
If you are interested, find out more by clicking here or ask Oonagh Grassie.

(JD)2C rankings after Bogendreip  Click here  (Updated 27/6)
We'll post the updated versions after Sluie as soon as we can but in the meantime, there have been one or two changes since the Bogendriep results were first published.
Did you know that we have now worked out how to get 10 events in this year? For a while after the snow meant that 3 events were cancelled, we thought we might not make it but we did - still to come are Aug 22nd Creag Choinnich, Aug 29th Glen Dye, Oct 3rd Forvie, Oct 24th Cambus O’May and Nov 7th Coull so make sure you get to as many of these as you can.

Jamie Stevenson Trophy
A small but select band of GRAMP Juniors went down to Deuchney Woods near Perth to represent the club in the Jamie Stevenson Trophy. Well done guys for flying the flag (literally in some cases!) and thanks to the McLeods for organising the event.

Sam Gomersall was on hand with a camera - click here for more photos.

Watch out for a Jamie Stevenson competition in the next Telegramp.

Kate needs your help please
Her head is so full of baby stuff at the moment that she could really do with some help from some of the older Juniors with ideas for things to go in the GJO section of Telegramp and on this page too. Doesn't have to be a 1000 word essay (phew!) just some quick things that spring to mind about recent events you've been to - what was good, what was bad, what would help you in the future - or any good jokes or things to do or places to go that you think the rest of the GJO's might be interested in. Send her an email or find her at an event. (Hint: she's the one with  GRAMP's Most Junior Orienteer strapped to her chest!)

And again!
M14A British Orienteering Champ joins the ever-growing list of Sasha's titles. Well done! And Dad and Duncan Grassie helped him to 5th place in the Mens Short Relay as the Gramp Trotters.

Sasha's a Champ!
This time he's M14 British Middle Distance Orienteering Champ after a successful trip down south to Haverthwaite Heights in the Lake District.

Morph and Chas @ Edinburgh Street Race
Morph introduced his mate, Chas, to orienteering during EUOC's Big Weekend City Race. Sasha was there again too and managed 2nd place this year but I bet he didn't have to worry about his plasticine arms snapping off with the cold! Ouch!

Five Gramp Juniors get the ScotJOS call for 2010

M18  Tim Gomersall & Marnoch Hamilton-Jones
M16  Calum McLeod
M14  Sasha Chepelin

Well done guys and have a great season!

(JD)2C final results 2009
Well done to all our Juniors in this year's Jon Duncan Junior Deeside Cup whether you managed a top 3 or quietly improved your orienteering this year and put in some steady performances. The prize-giving took place at the Bennachie event inside the visitor centre. Click on the photos below to see more - a certain Gramp family and a tin of Quality Street seem to feature heavily!
